The top Vivo S16 costs almost the same as POCO X3 Pro
In China, they announced and also began selling a new line of smartphones from Vivo. This is one awesome phone.
Vivo has shown the Vivo S16 and Vivo S16 Pro smartphones to Chinese consumers and around the world. Both have a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The peak brightness is 1,300 nits, which will allow you to use your smartphone on a sunny day and not look at yourself on the screen.
In terms of chipset, there is already a difference – while Snapdragon 870 was installed in the standard Vivo S16, Dimensity 8200 is installed in S16 Pro. Also, if you are afraid of strong heat, then Snapdragon 870 is not an assistant here – it is made on 7-nm process technology, while Dimensity 8200 is on 4-nm. The only thing that SD can boast of is that games are more often optimized for it.
The amount of memory is as follows:
- Vivo S16 — 8/12 + 128.256 GB LPDDR4X and UFS 3.1;
- Vivo S16 Pro – 12 GB + 256/512 GB LPDDR5 and UFS 3.1.
The battery capacity is the same – 4,600 mAh with 66 W fast charging. But the cameras are different – in the standard Vivo S16 there is a triple module of 64 + 8 + 2 MP, while the Pro has only 50 + 8 + 2 MP. It turns out that for those who like to take high-quality photos, the first option is suitable.
Vivo S16 price and availability
- Vivo S16 8 + 128 GB – 340 Euro (360 USD);
- Vivo S16 Pro 12 + 256 GB – 440 Euro (465 USD).
These smartphones can already be ordered in China. What We want to say is that if there is a choice between POCO X3 Pro and Vivo S16, then in terms of performance it is better to opt for the latter. But remember that external cooling is indispensable in games like Genshin Impact.
If you have an additional 105 euros (110 USD), then the choice can be made in favor of the Vivo S16 Pro. Note that they may have Chinese firmware, so a friend with “android knowledge” must be included. By the way, insiders say that these smartphones will appear on the global market as V27 and V27 Pro.
