Servers of “Crash Bandicoot: On the Run!” will shut down on February 16

The life cycle of mobile Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! will end soon. King has announced that it will shut down the game’s servers on February 16, 2023, and will ban microtransactions as early as today, December 19.

Recall Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! is a runner in which the protagonist runs along one of three tracks, collects wumpa fruit, and tries not to leave the race for as long as possible. The game was released in March 2021.

According to gamers, the last major update for Crash Bandicoot: On the Run! came out in October 2021, and most of the announced options remained under the “Coming Soon!” sign. In addition, the game’s official Twitter account has been “silent” since February 2022. Users complain about the poor design and the project’s focus solely on squeezing money out of gamers. Due to the combination of these facts, the community has been waiting for the closure of the game for a long time.

During The Game Awards 2022, another project in the Crash Bandicoot franchise was announced  – the competitive platform game Crash Team Rumble. It will be released in 2023 on PlayStation and Xbox.
