Nubia Red Magic 8 Pro and 8 Pro Plus have Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
Nubia has announced 2 gaming smartphones. You will have to pay for them, but this is one of the top solutions on the market.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset is gradually taking over the hearts and brains of flagships. Its main feature is support for ray tracing. Now, this processor will be put in two more smartphones – Red Magic 8 Pro and 8 Pro Plus.
Both versions have a 6.8-inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz and a maximum brightness of 1,300 nits. Also, the manufacturer Nubia claims that thanks to PWM technology at a frequency of 1440 Hz, users will not have a headache when using the smartphone for a long time at minimum brightness.

The maximum amount of memory for Red Magic 8 Pro and Pro Plus is different:
- Red Magic 8 Pro – 8/12 GB LPDDR5X and 128/256 GB UFS 4.0;
- Red Magic 8 Pro Plus – 12/16GB LPDDR5X and 256GB/1TB UFS 4.0.
Interestingly, the battery capacity is larger for the standard Red Magic 8 Pro – 6,000 mAh versus 5,000 mAh. But the Pro Plus wins with 165W fast charging versus 80W, respectively.
The camera for both models is the same – 50 + 8 + 2 megapixels at the back and 16 megapixels at the front. The main lens is Samsung GN5 with the ability to take pictures in a poorly lit place.
Price and availability of Red Magic 8 Pro and 8 Pro Plus
- Red Magic 8 Pro 8 + 128 GB – 530 Eur (560 USD);
- Red Magic 8 Pro Plus 12 + 256 GB – 690 Eur (730 USD).
