Experts Say – Don’t Store PlayStation 5 Vertically

Several console service companies have reported that don’t store PlayStation 5 vertically. As it turns out, the liquid metal used in the PS5’s cooling system can leak!

Because of this design flaw, it is possible for the heated ZhM to get on electric components inside the console. If there is enough heat, the liquid metal becomes fluid enough that it can drip on the board or other electric components inside the console, which can lead to a short circuit.

Experts recommend placing the PS5 on its side, that’s why the console comes with a stand for this exact purpose, after all.
